Welcome to the Archives Ingest Cooperation Wiki!
This wiki is dedicated to gathering information about Pre-ingest and Ingest activities in different European National Archives.
For an introduction on how to use the wiki, information about the Country Profile structure and how to edit the pages please use our Help Pages.
Some more detailed information on the purpose of the Wiki and the objectives of the collaboration are available at the Purpose and Objectives page. If you find the Wiki useful you can find there also some information on how to support the effort.
What's new?
- 03/12/08 The DLM Forum Conference paper and slides of the Wiki-presentation are now available at the Toulouse meeting page!
- 11/11/08 Some major updates in the Wiki include the creation of Purpose and Objectives and Current Events pages.
- 17/10/08 The 5th DLM Forum Conference is going to take place in Toulouse from the 10th to the 12th of December 2008. The conference will include a presentation about the Wiki by Kuldar Aas (National Archives of Estonia), Raivo Ruusalepp (Estonian Business Archives) and Zoltan Szatuscek (National Archives of Hungary). Abstract and slides will shortly be available at the Toulouse meeting page!
- 21/04/08 The changes agreed on in Ljubljana are finally included into the Wiki. Please note the added information on the 08/04/08 Ljubljana meeting page as well as updated Help pages and added Special Interest page.
What can / should you do here?
- Have a look at the Country Profiles that other people have already provided here and start your own. A sample Country Profile structure can be found in our Help Pages. (Please note that special rights are needed to edit the Wiki or create new content pages. To get the rights please contact wiki[at]ra.ee)
- Tell us how to improve the wiki pages and make suggestions for further functionality (e.g. a forum, copyright statement, access rules, etc.).

Wiki Structure
Information about ingest activities in different countries is divided into following pages.
- Purpose and Objectives - this page gives an overview on why and how we gather the information in this Wiki. Also some general background about possibilities to participate in the Wiki are highlighted.
- Country Profiles - this page includes sub-pages with country-based information about ingest and transfer related activities.
- Thematic Pages - this page delivers the information out of the Country Profiles organised thematically and therefore gives a comparative overview of activities in European countries.
- Special Interest - this page can be used to describe ongoing developments of special importance in European countries and to seek advice on open topics in these projects.
- Links - this page can be used to gather links to relevant institutions, projects and literature.
- Current Events - this page gives you an overview of past meetings as well as information on upcoming events of the cooperation.
